Bio: Louis is passionate about Opera. He obtained a degree in musicology from The Sorbonne and then studied singing with renowned teachers; Gary Magby, Pierre Catala, Leontina Vaduva and in particular, Christine Schweitzer, who taught him the technique that her own teacher, the famous Italian Baritone Gino Becchi, had taught her; and he worked with the great Tenor Piero Visconti in Roma. He has also attended masterclasses with Sylvia Sass, Nadine Denize, Giacomo Aragall, and David Jones. He joined the French Army Choir which he left after one year in order to attend The HEMU, the Lausanne music school, where he graduated with a BA and then an MA receiving high grades and the congratulations of the awarding panel. He won 2nd prize in the Bezier Opera competition and a prize for interpretation at the International Academia Belcanto in Graz. He was a member of the Lyon opera studio for the season 2017 – 2018. His operatic voice together with his sound knowledge of the stage enables him to sing in a great variety of roles and in a variety of genres. He has been a lead singer in operettas, in Offenbach's Les Brigands and La Vie Parisienne and Herve's Chilperic. He has also been a lead singer in Belcanto like Donizetti's Rita and Verdi’s Rigoletto; Or dramatic works: Puccini's Tosca and Boheme, Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci, Bizet’s Carmen. In the next months he will be: Le Comte Barigoule in Cendrillon by P. Viardot in the Lausanne opera; Alfredo in La Traviata at the Victoria Hall of Genève, and Manrico in Il Trovatore at the BFM of Genève.
