Biography
Mamuka Lomidze Baritone After graduating from Tbilisi Zakaria Paliashvili Central Music School as a pianist, Mamuka Lomidze entered the Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire (Prof. Tengiz Mushkudiani’s class) in 1998 and graduated it with Master’s degree in Solo Singing in 2006. The same year, after winning a joint competition of the Italian Embassy and the Ministry of Culture, he was sent as an intern to Conservatorio di Musica Santa Cecilia, Rome, Italy where he studied under Maestro Carlo Desideri. After the 5-year interniship in Santa Cecilia he was invited as a soloist of the CNIPAL, National Centre of Lyric Artists, Marseille, France. The part of Germont in Verdi’s opera La Traviata was his first major role (Le Corum – Montpellier), followed by Scarpia (Tosca by Pucc
