Meredith Mecum Bloomfield, praised for her “soaring soprano” (theatrescene.net), is an American soprano now based in Germany. Recent European engagements have included Gerhilde in Die Walküre at Stadttheater Klagenfurt, Freia in Das Rheingold with Dramatic Voices Berlin and Soprano Soloist in Johan de Meij’s 5th Symphony, Return to Middle Earth with Bläserphilharmonie Rhein-Main. During the run of performances of Die Walküre in Klagenfurt, Ms. Mecum Bloomfield jumped in for an ailing colleague, singing Brünnhilde from the score on less than 24 hours notice.
