Biografie: Michael Heim was born in Bludenz (Vorarlberg, Austria) and grew up in the town of Thuringia (Austria), nearby. After his studies of music he worked for several years as journalist and editor in the greatest West Austrian publishing company (Voralberger Medienhaus). Whilst still a student he was invited to participate in numerous concerts at national and international festivals.
His teacher include KS Irmgard Boas (Dresden), Prof. Habib Samadzadeh (Hohenems), KS Nicolai Gedda (Geneva) and KS Francisco Araiza (Zurich / Munich).
His first roles on a stage were in 1998 at the Theater in St. Gallen and included amongst others the First Prisoner / Fidelio. Since 1999 he has been a freelance tenor, appearing amongst others at the Operahouses of Zürich, Dresden, Vienna, Genoa, Triest, Chemnitz, Leipzig, Schubertiade Schwarzenberg, Landestheater Salzburg, Seebühne Bregenz, Lincoln Center New York, Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck, Tour- production Vienna-Japan with Zauberflöte (Tamino), La Traviata (Alfredo ital), HCC Hamburg, Brucknerhaus Linz, the Lehar Festival Bad Ischl, Musiktheater Schönbrunn, Vienna, Oper Leipzig, the Staatsoperette Dresden, Luzerner Theater, Beethovenhalle Bonn, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Glocke Bremen, Philharmonie Essen, Residenz München, Frauenkirche and Philharmonie Dresden, Philharmonie and Konzerthaus Berlin and others
