Ruth Willemse

The Dutch mezzo Ruth Willemse started her vocal studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and graduated in June 2013 at the Vocal Master Program of the Prins Claus Conservatory. Recent engagements include the role Kate Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly (Dutch Touring Opera / Nederlandse Reisopera), Maddalena in Reimsreisje(after Il Viaggio a Reims) at the Dutch National Opera, Berta in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the National Touring Opera (now Dutch Touring Opera), Old Lady and Paquette, in a Dutch version of Candide as an “Artist in Residence” of the Dutch Touring Opera, Ciesca in Gianni Schicchi in France, Miss Todd in The Old Maid and the Thief and Concepcion in L’Heure Espagnole.
