Biography
Korean baritone Sang Lee was born in South Korea and attended the College of Music at the National University in Seoul. Even before graduating (Bachelor of Music) he twice won first prize in national singing competitions. In the awardee concerts he performed together with the Seoul Symphony Orchestra. In 1996 he moved to Cologne and studied lieder, oratorio and opera singing with Prof. Hans Sotin at the music academy there. In the spring of 2001 he passed his concert exam. As early as 1998 he was a finalist in the >Ranieri I Cestelli Competizione dell' Opera< (Cologne) and won both 1st prize at the Bergheim Singing Competition and 3rd prize at the Cologne International Singing Competition.
