Biography
Spanish Soprano Serena Sáenz has been lauded by the press for her “musicality, good taste in ornamentation and luminous high notes with a good arsenal of bel canto resources” (Scherzo). Although she is a young artist she is regularly engaged in leading opera houses including Staatsoper Berlin, Gran Teatre Liceu and Teatro Real. In 2021 she was the 1rst prize winner of the Montserrat Caballé International Singing Competition and was honored with multiple prizes at both the Paris Opera Competition , and the Viñas Competition, including the Audience Prize in Paris and Montserrat. In 2022 she will make her debut as Norina in Don Pasquale with the Fundació Opera de Catalunya, a role she will also sing at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona. She will also be Zerlina in a new production of
