Biography
Sergio is one of the most requested Italian baritones of his generation on the international scene for the eighteenth-century repertoire. Graduated in singing and piano at the "Orazio Vecchi" Musical Institute in Modena and in vocal chamber music at the "Luigi Cherubini" Conservatory in Florence with full marks and honors, Sergio Foresti made his debut in 1998 in the Vivaldi Olympics (Alcandro) directed by Alessandrini, and then interpreted various roles in works by Monteverdi, Cimarosa, Händel and Salieri in major European theaters. After his debut he played the role of Plutone in Monteverdi's Orfeo at the Styrian Festival in Graz, the role of Bertrand in Tchaikovsky's Joan of Arc and the Marriage of Figaro (Conte) at the Wexford Opera Festival in Ireland.
