Bio: Israeli Mezzo-soprano Shachar Lavi, based in Germany is a member of the National Theater Mannheim opera ensemble. Shachar was a member of Heidelberg opera ensemble during 2017/18-2018/19 and is frequently performing as a guest artist in opera houses around Europe, amongst them Salzburg state opera (Austria), Pfaltztheater Kaiserslautern, Rococo Theater Schwetzingen, Tenerife Opera and more..
In the upcoming season of 2021-22 Shachar will be performing a wide variety of roles in numerous productions such as, Rosina (Il Barbiere di Siviglia), Dorabella (Cosi fan Tutte), Hänsel (Hänsel und Gretel), Piacere (Il trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno) and more.
graduated at the Buchmann- Mehta Music Academy in Tel Aviv University (with hons). Shachar was a member of "Meitar" Opera studio of the Israeli Opera.

Shachar is a recipient of the America Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships, "Ronen" foundation for outstanding Israeli artists, IVAI Opera Workshop - Fay Harbour scholarship, Excellence scholarships and prizes at the Buchman-Mehta vocal competitions and won the 3rd prize at the "Flaviano Labó" Opera competition held in Piacenza, Italy. Furthermore, in the past few years Shachar took part in several prestigious opera programs such as Ravinia Stean's Music Festival- Program for singers, Tenerife Opera Estudio, Accademia Rossiniana under the guidance of Maestro Alberto Zedda, Israeli Vocal Arts Institute (IVAI) and more.
Shachar had the honor of performing with some of the most leading orchestras and musicians such as- the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra, Tbilisi Symphony Orch., Lautten Compagney Berlin, Israeli Barrocade, under the baton of distinguished conductors such as Maestro Zubin Mehta, Daniel Oren, Danielle Callegari, Daniel Ettinger, Paul Nadler, Rani Calderon, Daniel Cohen, Yoav Talmi, Uri Segal, David Schemer and more.
