Bio: Stephen Bronk Bassbaritone  Engaged to the theaters in Bremerhaven (1986-88), Saarbrücken (1988-92), Bonn (1992-95) and Düsseldorf (1996-2002), he also had regular guest appearances in the opera houses in Bremen, Nürnberg, Dortmund, Wiesbaden, Mannheim, Karlsruhe, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Hannover.In Europe, he has sung at the Grand Teatre del Liceu, Barcelona, the Teatro de la Maestranza, Sevilla, as well as the Opéra de Nancy et Lorraine and the Opéra du Rhin, Strasbourg, the Opéra de Lyon, Opéra de Nice, the Royal Danish Theater, Copenhagen, at the State Opera in Prague, in Palermo and Torino, Italy, and St. Gallen and Geneva, Switzerland.Guest at the Salzburg and Savonlinna Festivals, he has also appeared at the 8th, 9th and 11th Amazon Opera Festivals, at the 35th and 37th International Music Festival in Campos do Jordao, the Opera Festival Belem (2001,2002,2003), Brazil, and the Opera Festival in Heidenheim, Germany. He has performed with the Philadelphia Opera Company and at the Palm Beach Opera, USA, in Taipeh, Taiwan and in Shanghai, China, and in Brazil at the Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro Municipal Theaters, the Palácio das Artes in Belo Horizonte, the Jose de Castro Mendes Theater in Campinas, the Teatro da Paz, Belem, the Teatro Amazonas, Manaus and the Teatro Sao Pedro in Sao Paulo.Stephen Bronk has been a member of the Deutsche Oper Berlin since 2008, where he has sung Sarastro, Timur, Arkel and Daland, as well as Orest and Escamillo. His repertoire includes the major Bass and Bass-baritone roles in Wagner, Verdi, Puccini and Strauss operas, as well as in the French oevre.
