The theater in Koblenz, not far from the Electoral Palace, is the only surviving neoclassical theater building on the Middle Rhine and the earliest surviving example of a gallery theater in Germany (in contrast to the earlier box theater).

The Theater Koblenz has almost 200 permanent employees from around 23 nations who practice 27 different professions. Markus Dietze has been director since the 2009/2010 season.

Today, more than 200 years after the first premiere at Deinhardplatz, the will and the desire to play theater in and for Koblenz and the region are unbroken. After all, a brief look at one's own history shows that it was not always easy to offer art, but it was never impossible.

Das Theater Koblenz unweit des Kurfürstlichen Schlosses ist der einzige erhaltene klassizistische Theaterbau am Mittelrhein und das früheste erhaltene Beispiel eines Rangtheaters in Deutschland (im Gegensatz zum früheren Logentheater).

Das Theater Koblenz hat fast 200 fest angestellte Mitarbeiter aus circa 23 Nationen, die 27 verschiedene Berufe ausüben. Intendant ist seit der Spielzeit 2009/2010 Markus Dietze.

Heute, weit mehr als 200 Jahre nach der ersten Premiere am Deinhardplatz, sind der Wille und die Lust ungebrochen, Theater in und für Koblenz und die Region zu spielen. Schließlich beweist schon ein kurzer Blick in die eigene Geschichte, dass es zwar nicht immer einfach war, Kunst zu bieten, aber niemals unmöglich.
