A message to all our potential Cardiff Singers

Dear Friends,

In the light of recent developments caused by the Covid 19 outbreak we have decided to extend the deadline for applications to the end of August, so you have two whole months extra to submit your application.

We’ve also decided to relax some of our rules about the video recordings you will send us.

They don’t have to be made within the last year – you can now send in videos from the last 3 years. You can also send videos made at concerts or opera performances – as long as we can see and hear you clearly!

Obviously if you can get newer ones done that would be great, but we’re aware that during this period of total lock down for many of us, you won’t be able to even get 3 people in a room – i.e. pianist, camera or phone operator and we presume not all of you can play the piano and accompany yourself like Mingjie Lei did in the video we recently shared!

We hope this might make things a bit easier for you, but if you have any questions or concerns, please email us.

All the very best of wishes to all of you - and keep safe!
