Born in Crema (Italy) in 1992, Eleonora Filipponi is an Italian mezzo. After her choral and her piano studies, she started singing under the guidance of the countertenor Roberto Quintarelli, and in 2014 she started studying opera with the Ukrainian mezzo Nadiya Petrenko. April 2014 she made her debut in D. Clapasson’s contemporary operetta Il Giardino del Gigante, while July 2015 she made her debut as Flora in G. Verdi’s Traviata within the first Crema Opera Festival. In July 2016 she debuted the role of Mamma Lucia in P. Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana in Crema. In October 2016 she passed the entrance exam atIstituto Superiore di Studi Musicali “Claudio Monteverdi” in Cremona (CR) and she studied underthe guidance of the world-class bass M. Mario Luperi.
