The International Festival of the Aegean is held, every year, in Syros/ ΣÏρος island which is part of the Cyclades islands in the Aegean Sea. This is a multi-disciplinary event that showcases opera productions, chamber music, and art song.

Known bands, conductors, dance groups, choirs and groups from the leading opera houses in the world participate in this festival. The highlight of the 2023 festival is a tribute to Maria Callas - commemorating 100 years of birth of this Greek/American opera singer. Furthermore, there will be performances of Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, and more.
