An internationally accomplished jazz tenor saxophonist, Håkon re-discovered singing in New York in 2009 after seeing Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci at the Met. Two years on he was admitted to the Norwegian Opera Academy. He is now combining his newfound tenor voice with his well established tenor saxophone playing in his own ensemble. Their unique sound is best described as an updated Viennese salon orchestra, mixing opera arias, canzone and lieder with Scandinavian jazz. The album "Tenor Battle" was released in October 2015.
