Luis Cansino

Of Galician origin, he began his musical training in Vigo. He studied Singing at the Royal Superior Conservatory of Madrid, obtaining the Honor Award and the Extraordinary Prize "Lucrecia Arana". Later he expanded his training with the famous tenor Pedro Lavirgen. Winner of the 1st. Singing Contest "Francisco Alonso" held in Madrid in 1990, in 1993, the Mexican magazine "Proceso" awarded him the "Lyric Revelation" Award and he was named Cultural Ambassador for Peace in Chiapas. In 1998 he participated in the commemorative events of the Independence of the Philippines, in 2006 in the 150th Anniversary Gala of the Teatro Nacional La Zarzuela in Madrid and, a year later, on the 55th Anniversary of the A Coruña Opera.
