Mariana Fernandes

Mariana is a soprano from Portugal, and is currently on the Opera Course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, under the tutelage of Marilyn Rees. In July 2022, she graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama’s Artist Masters in Performance with a first-class honour’s degree, being awarded a scholarship from the Fundação GDA, The Kathleen Trust and the Guildhall. She has had success on the Portuguese stage with her debut at OperaFest Lisboa singing Jody in Jeremy Fisher by I. Aboulker at the OperaFest Lisboa, and being a Finalist in the 1st edition of Concurso Internacional de Canto Lírico de Lousada and the 13th Concurso de Canto Lírico Fundação Rotária Portuguesa.
