Biography
Mira Alkhovik was born in Saint-Petersburg and played violin for 12 years before she began her studies in vocal performance at St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory. In her fifth year of studies she spent one semester at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (Prof. Elena Pankratova). Shortly afterwards, she began studying specialised opera performance at the Bern Academy of the Arts (Professor Malin Hartelius), where she graduated in 2024 as Master of Arts with honours. During her studies she was a scholarship recipient of foundations such as Vontobel-Stiftung, Rahn Kulturfonds, Stiftung Lyra. She became also one of three winners of the prestigious Eva Kleinitz Scholarship from the professional association of opera companies and festivals in Europe "Opera Europa"
