Antonín Dvořák - Rusalka - tease | Opera SND

We have passed the idea test of the upcoming title Rusalka directed by Martin Kákoš. As the director stated, the production will be intended for the whole family. We will present the magic story of Antonín Dvořák and Jaroslav Kvapil on February 20 in the Opera and Ballet Hall

Dvořák's Rusalka is far from just a romantic fairy tale. On the contrary, it reveals a number of seemingly imperceptible symbolic and psychological meanings, depicting not only the struggle of sincerity with hypocrisy and betrayal, but also the eternal struggle of light and darkness, the dream of eternity and the reality of mortality. The main heroine is a water fairy, but her heart is also full of deep human feelings - desire and love. In fact, she is still alone - she has to make her own decisions and deal with the tragic consequences of her decisions. Dvořák's opera is full of dazzling musical beauty and is one of the theatrical works that will appeal to every spectator looking for an answer to the most complex questions of life. The production of this charming romantic work will be a beautiful and engaging theater designed for the whole family.
