Queen Malwida is the ruler of a whole kingdom of colors. When she calls, her subjects come and make her life colorful. But blue, red and yellow also have their own mind and so living together is not always harmonious. With simple means and specially composed music, we tell this poetic story of Jutta Bauer anew. And so red, blue and yellow are given instruments to enhance their effect. Because color and music have become an integral part of our lives and are the ideal tools to express our feelings.

Ioana Petre has been an assistant director at DNT since the 2017/2018 season. She has already staged several plays for children at the Teatrul Ion Creanga in Bucharest and with this work is introducing herself for the first time as a director in Weimar.
