She is probably the best known, the queen of all operettas and has long enjoyed cult status. "Die Fledermaus" by the waltz king Johann Strauss from 1874 is considered the high point of the golden Viennese operetta era. Even after 150 years it has lost none of its appeal. The history that explains the title of the operetta is as follows: Mr. von Eisenstein lets the notary Dr. Falke wandering through the streets in the morning drunk and disguised as a bat after a ball night. This is for the notary who, from that point on, Dr. Bat is called an embarrassing situation. He wants revenge on Eisenstein.With bubbling irony in a sparkling champagne mood, "Die Fledermaus" repeatedly creates a cheerful and exhilarating atmosphere: "The slogan here is: amusement, amusement, amusement."
