Dans le New York des années 1930, la machine à rêves de Broadway tourne à plein régime et il est dur de s’y faire une place. La jeune et talentueuse Peggy Sawyer tente sa chance au sein d’une compagnie qui monte un nouveau spectacle, Pretty Lady. Mais il n’est pas facile de devenir une star !
Cette comédie musicale, qui fit sensation dès son lever de rideau devenu iconique, retrace les coulisses du show business. L’envers du décor n’est pas toujours rose mais l’amour du spectacle et du métier est plus fort que tout. The show must go on ! Démonstration de claquettes, pluie de paillettes, 16 tableaux, plus de 300 costumes… 42nd Street revient au Châtelet avec une nouvelle distribution pour le plaisir de tous. In the New York of the 1930s, the Broadway dream machine is running at full speed and it is hard to find a place in it. The young and talented Peggy Sawyer tries her luck in a company that is putting on a new show, Pretty Lady . But it is not easy to become a star!

This musical, which caused a sensation as soon as its iconic curtain rose, goes behind the scenes of show business . The other side of the decor is not always rosy, but the love of the show and of the profession is stronger than anything. The show must go on ! Demonstration of tap dance, rain of sequins, 16 scenes, more than 300 costumes... 42nd Street returns to the Châtelet with a new cast for everyone's enjoyment. A euphoric spectacle for the end of the year celebrations.
