Ein kleiner Samen, dann ein Spross – er wächst, gedeiht, entfaltet sich und fügt sich ein in den Lauf der Natur. Ein Vorgang, der tagtäglich um uns herum geschieht. Von ganz alleine – solange »Mensch« ihn lässt. Natur: Ausgangspunkt und Faszination vieler Kunst. Selbst der große Beethoven widmete ihr eine ganze Sinfonie, seine Pastorale. »Erinnerungen an das Landleben. Mehr Ausdruck der Empfindung als Malerei«, schrieb der Wiener Komponist über sein Werk. Einer sinfonischen Dichtung ähnlich, schuf Beethoven eine klangliche Interpretation von Natur und ihren Phänomenen. Viel direkter ging es der finnische Komponist Rautavaara in seinem Konzert für Vögel und Orchester an. Neben den Stimmungsbildern der Instrumente gesellt sich hier echter arktischer Vogelgesang vom Tonband hinzu und versetzt das Publikum in die beeindruckenden Klangwelten Finnlands, zwischen Mystik und Wirklichkeit. Carl Czerny dagegen ist auf ganz andere Weise für Wachstum verantwortlich. Kaum ein Klavierschüler, eine Klavierschülerin kommt im Laufe der Ausbildung an den unzähligen Etüden und Klavierübungen des Komponisten vorbei. Prägende Tonkaskaden, die nach wie vor zur Entwicklung aller jungen Pianisten und Pianistinnen beitragen.

Sie sind am Piano ein Team – Gisele und Fabio Witkowski aus Brasilien. Als versierte Pianisten sorgen die beiden für lebendige und dynamische Klavierabende zu zwei und vier Händen. Beide unterrichten zusätzlich an der renommierten Hotchkiss School in den USA. Als Konzertauftakt freuen wir uns auf eine Welturaufführung: In dem Workshop »Beat-Lab« setzen sich Schülerinnen und Schüler intensiv mit Minimal-Music und J. S. Bach auseinander. Dabei konzipieren und komponieren sie ein eigenes Stück. Das Ergebnis bringen die Thüringer Symphoniker hier live auf die Bühne.

A small seed, then a sprout - it grows, thrives, unfolds and fits into the course of nature. A process that happens around us every day. All by itself – as long as »people« let it. Nature: the starting point and fascination for many arts. Even the great Beethoven dedicated an entire symphony to her, his Pastorale. 'Memories of country life. More expression of feeling than painting,” wrote the Viennese composer about his work. Similar to a symphonic poem, Beethoven created a tonal interpretation of nature and its phenomena. The Finnish composer Rautavaara took a much more direct approach in his Concerto for Birds and Orchestra. In addition to the mood pictures of the instruments, real arctic bird songs from the tape are added here and transport the audience into the impressive sound worlds of Finland, between mysticism and reality. Carl Czerny, on the other hand, is responsible for growth in a completely different way. Hardly any piano student can avoid the composer's innumerable etudes and piano exercises during the course of their training. Formative tonal cascades that continue to contribute to the development of all young pianists.

They are a team on the piano – Gisele and Fabio Witkowski from Brazil. As experienced pianists, the two ensure lively and dynamic piano evenings for two and four hands. Both also teach at the renowned Hotchkiss School in the USA. To kick off the concert, we look forward to a world premiere: in the »Beat-Lab« workshop, schoolchildren deal intensively with minimal music and JS Bach. They conceive and compose their own piece. The Thüringer Symphoniker bring the result live to the stage.
