A tribute to Maurice Emmanuel: Concert

This concert is a tribute to the exceptional maitre of French music, Maurice Emmanuel, one of the early 20th century’s most important students of ancient Greek music. Hand-picked Greek artists perform his refined music for the Amphitryon in a dialogue with Petros Petridis’ masterful Concerto grosso and the forgotten but marvellous melodies of Louis-Albert Bourgault-Ducoudray.

Η συναυλία αποτίει φόρο τιμής στον σπουδαίο Δάσκαλο της γαλλικής μουσικής Μωρίς Εμμανυέλ, που υπήρξε ένας από τους σημαντικότερους μελετητές της αρχαίας ελληνικής μουσικής στις αρχές του 20ού αιώνα.
Εκλεκτοί Έλληνες καλλιτέχνες ερμηνεύουν την λεπταίσθητη μουσική του για τον «Αμφιτρύωνα», η οποία συνομιλεί με το αριστοτεχνικό Concerto grosso του Πέτρου Πετρίδη και τις ξεχασμένες αλλά υπέροχες μελωδίες του Λουί-Αλμπέρ Μπουργκώ-Ντυκουντραί.
