It was not until his encounter with ballet master Noverr and librettist Ranier de Calzabigi that led him to think about the opera genre and subsequently led to the creation of masterful reform operas, which are still alive today and one of the best that Gluck has created. He created a modern musical drama from the already surviving form of the Italian opera series, in which the music is closely connected with the plot of the opera and its libretto. He wrote that he "tried to return music to its own task, which is to encourage the poem to intensify the expression of emotions."
