Leonardo García Alarcón se propose de rendre hommage ici aux orchestrateurs du XX e siècle de L’Art de la fugue, qu’il considère comme un « sommet de la musique universelle ». C’est ainsi qu’il fait appel à Mauricio Kagel, compositeur argentin qui a osé réaliser une lecture des chorals de Jean-Sébastien Bach dans sa pièce Chorbuch pour chœur, piano et harmonium : « Pour unir l’univers de Bach et celui de Kagel, j’ai décidé de substituer deux bandonéons à l’harmonium, d’entourer L’Art de la fugue des Chorbuch et de faire interpréter par le piano, les bandonéons et les flûtes à bec les canons de L’Art de la fugue. » Tout tient dans une phrase du chef d’orchestre : « Je ne crois pas aux dogmes dans l’interprétation de la musique et je crois partager cette conviction avec l’Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. »

Leonardo García Alarcón intends to pay homage here to the 20th century orchestrators of The Art of the Fugue , which he considers to be a “peak of universal music”. This is how he called on Mauricio Kagel, an Argentinian composer who dared to perform a reading of Johann Sebastian Bach's chorales in his piece Chorbuch for choir, piano and harmonium : "To unite the world of Bach and that of Kagel, I decided to substitute two bandoneons for the harmonium, to surround L'Art de la fugue by the Chorbuch and to have the piano, bandoneons and recorders interpret the canons of L'Art de la fugue.
