Mozart's 12-year-old rococo shepherd's play Bastien and Bastienne finds a perfect backdrop between real sheep in Low German and in the open-air museum Mueß: There, the amorous shepherd couple Bastian and Barbara are seduced by the dark, old Kohlhaas to play with their feelings according to the fashion until they come to terms and happily find each other again.
