The ‘Ode to Joy’, the finale of Beethoven’s irrepressible Ninth Symphony, is one of the most famous melodies ever written. Inspired by the themes in Beethoven’s work, Barton’s piece will provide a fresh, contemporary and uniquely Australian perspective.
