En 2011, le compositeur Georg Friedrich Haas et son librettiste Händl Klaus créent un opéra pour quatre chanteurs, quatorze acteurs et un orchestre symphonique, qui met en scène une transaction immobilière : Nadja met en vente la maison de ses parents morts. Une belle maison en Basse-Autriche, dont on apprend peu à peu les sanglants secrets : Nadja enfant abusée par son père, sa mère tuant son mari avant de se trancher la gorge, Nadja elle-même incapable d’aimer. Les voix de Nadja, les parents morts, l’agent immobilier se mêlent aux polyphonies des acteurs et aux sons inouïs venus de la fosse dans une dramaturgie d’une surprenante originalité. Ici, le metteur en scène allemand Claus Guth entrelace à la partition originale, comme une mémoire intime vieille de plusieurs siècles, un madrigal et un ballet de cour de Claudio Monteverdi, les plaintes déchirantes des femmes condamnées aux enfers parce qu’elles ne savent pas aimer.

In 2011, the composer Georg Friedrich Haas and his librettist Händl Klaus created an opera for four singers, fourteen actors and a symphony orchestra, which stages a real estate transaction: Nadja puts the house of her dead parents up for sale. A beautiful house in Lower Austria, whose bloody secrets we gradually learn: Nadja as a child abused by her father, her mother killing her husband before slitting her throat, Nadja herself incapable of loving. The voices of Nadja, the dead parents, the real estate agent mingle with the polyphonies of the actors and the incredible sounds coming from the pit in a dramaturgy of surprising originality. Here, the German director Claus Guth intertwines the original score, like a centuries-old intimate memory, a madrigal and a court ballet by Claudio Monteverdi,
