Two classics of Italian verism meet, illustrating the harsh realities of life through an intense emotional whole.
In a southern Italy where everything burns, sun and blood, the sense of honor leads to death, obsessive love and jealousy give rise to violent emotions and passionate musical outbursts. This production sheds new light on these two operas where reality becomes theater and where, when masks fall, theater becomes reality. Carried by orchestrations
fiery, these two dramas will notably honor the winners of the last Clermont-Ferrand International Singing Competition.
