CONCERT PROGRAM World Premiere "IDENTITIES" Music by Caroline Shaw, Lo Kristenson, Molly Joyce, Nkeiru Okoye, and more. Choreography by Brenda Neville, Artistic Director of Neville Dance Theater, in collaboration with the NDT Company Dancers. 'Identities' invites viewers to witness the dancers depictions of their own unique self-perceptions alongside how observations of others impacts, alters, and expands our own identity and the universal needs and desires shared by all that cement us into one connected, human race. Depicted in three sections, I/ME, YOU/THEY, and WE/US, the work is comprised of music by all female composers. World Premiere "THE PURSUIT" Music by Valentina Magaletti Choreography by Kristen Klein, Artistic Director of Inclined Dance Project and 2023 NDT 'Chance-to-Choreograph' Artist. An exploration of mankind's intuitive drive for success, accomplishment, and progress. The work will draw inspiration from the performer's personal aspirations to create an abstract narrative of how we chase our dreams and goals. World Premiere "FLEE PORNEIA" Music by Zamilska Choreography by Lauren Settembrino, NYC freelance dance artist and 2023 NDT 'Chance-to-Choreograph' Artist. Flee porneia examines the layered process of unlearning traumatic belief systems, explored through the lens of human sexuality. The eight-minute solo progresses through stages of suppression, conflict, and an eventual pleasure in heresy. The question remains whether or not it is possible to fully expel old systems of belief; at the very least, one can proudly defy them. Plus Repertory Works: "EXPOSED" (Excerpt) Set to music by Hildur Guðnadóttir with Hauschka and T.
