András Adorján, the internationally renowned, distinguished flutist and professor, has put together a beautiful program, which provides an overview of the flute music of the Baroque period, and also presents a kind of family tabloid of “musical portraits”.

The ‘centrepiece’ of the portrait gallery is Johann Sebastian Bach, who had twenty children from two marriages, but only ten reached adulthood, five of whom became important musicians. The first piece in our concert was composed by his eldest son, Wilhelm Friedemann Bach. Georg Philipp Telemann was one of Bach’s most famous contemporaries and his close friend, so much so that he was godfather to his second son, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. Telemann’s double concerto is followed by the flute concerto by his godson, C. Ph. E. Bach. The program will conclude with one of the most famous orchestral works of the great Bach, the father, Suite No. 2 in B minor, which has been an important piece for flutists all over the world.

András Adorján was born in Budapest, Hungary, and grew up in Copenhagen, Denmark. He graduated as a dentist and played the flute. He had world-famous teachers and was the solo guest musician of several renown European orchestras. He started teaching at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln and later became a professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. A few years ago, he was a guest musician at the Festetics concerts, giving such a great performance that we invited him to play with our orchestra again.

Adorján András, a nemzetközi hírű, kiváló fuvolaművész és professzor gyönyörű műsort állított össze, amely egyrészt áttekintést nyújt a barokk kor fuvolamuzsikájáról, másfelől egyfajta családi tablót tár elénk „zenei arcképekből”.

Az arcképcsarnok „főhelyén” Johann Sebastian Bachot találjuk, akinek két házasságából húsz gyermeke született, de csak tíz érte meg a felnőttkort, közülük öten lettek jelentős muzsikusok. Hangversenyünk első műsorszáma a legidősebb fiú, Wilhelm Friedemann Bach műve. Georg Philipp Telemann Bach egyik leghíresebb kortársa és személyes jóbarátja volt, olyannyira, hogy ő volt a második fiú, Carl Philipp Emanuel keresztapja. Telemann kettősversenye után a keresztfiú, C.Ph.E. Bach fuvolaversenye következik. A műsort a legnagyobb Bach, az apa egyik híres zenekari művével, a II., h-moll szvittel zárjuk, amely azóta is a világ összes fuvolásának „mindennapi kenyere”.

Adorján András Budapesten született, Koppenhágában nőtt fel, fogorvosi diplomát szerzett és mellette fuvolázott. Világhírű tanárai voltak, több híres európai zenekar szólófuvolása volt. A Kölni, később a Müncheni Zeneakadémia professzora. Néhány évvel ezelőtt már volt a Festetics koncertek vendégművésze, az akkori, nagyon sikeres fellépés nyomán hívtuk meg újra.
