Così fan tutte Mozart

After the “Marriage of Figaro” and “Don Giovanni”, “Così fan tutte” is the last of the three operas that Mozart realized together with the librettist Lorenzo Da Ponte. Two men put the loyalty of their partners to the test by seducing each other's fiancée in disguise. A brilliant opera finale leads to a "happy ending" that reveals all mix-ups, but in the end everyone is betrayed.

Directed by Tatjana Gürbaca, the »School of Lovers«, as the opera is called in the subtitle, becomes a poetic chamber play for which the Schwetzingen Palace Theater offers the ideal stage. With “Così fan tutte” the NTM is opening a Da Ponte cycle planned for the next few years, which is being produced in co-production with the National Theater in Prague.
