In the land of the big word factory, speaking is expensive because words cost money. Words cost money. They cost money because they have to be produced first. They are produced in the big word factory. But for the fact that it's running at full speed and producing words non-stop, it's surprisingly quiet. Because to be able to talk a lot, you have to be rich.

Paul can't afford the words he really needs so badly to tell Marie how much he loves her. But on some very special days, the words fly through the air. With a bit of skill you can catch them. Does Paul still get his chance to talk to Marie? 

In Martin Zels' children's opera, in which the story is carried by song and music, the spoken word acquires a very special, almost magical meaning.
