This opera is a theater of the world: it tells of growing old, of exams, of opaque decisions. One is looking for individuality, some others are too lazy for it. Others propagate that the community is the only right place for the individual. Power has always been legitimized or has been usurped by new rulers. Values such as conformity and allegiance are opposed to self-assertion and independence. It is loved and dreamed, deceived and trusted. Suicides are prevented, exams are taken, adventures are passed. Who is right? Who is wronged? The world of the Magic Flute is opaque, everyone tries to find their way: in it, out of it or into it. Who controls it all? Who to trust? The music maybe?
