This documentary of France 2 television follows the young EUYO musicians, some of the best of their generation, in the Spring Tour 2022 from Ferrara, Italy to Helsinki, Finland. Entirely player-focused, the narration follows especially two French players: Mathilde, double bassist, and Robinson, trombonist. They are not the only ones that shine through this video: the entire orchestra shows emotions, shared values, human and artistic experience.
At a time when war is at Europe's borders in Ukraine and when some countries have left the Union or are doubting their membership, the EUYO is a powerful symbol of what are the European values.

Jaarlijks komen daar de allerbeste jonge musici samen om te leren, te werken, en te genieten … van steevast legendarische concerten. Voor deze tournee scharen drie revelaties van de Elisabethwedstrijd zich als solisten bij het orkest. En voordat de Franse dirigent Alexandre Bloch een vlammende Bolero ontketent, klinkt ook nog een gloednieuw werk van Annelies Van Parys.

Elisabeth laureates join Europe’s most energetic orchestra
Music connects people and nowhere is that more true than at the European Union Youth Orchestra. Every year, the very best young musicians gather there to learn, work and enjoy. The result is their legendary concerts. For this tour, three revelations from the Elisabeth Competition will join the orchestra as soloists. And before French conductor Alexandre Bloch unleashes a fiery Bolero, we get to hear a brand new work by Annelies Van Parys.

Chaque année, la crème des jeunes musiciens s’y retrouve pour se perfectionner, travailler et prendre du bon temps, lors de concerts toujours légendaires.
