This time the glamorous soprano Anna Netrebko is the passionate diva, partnered by Brian Jagde as her lover, the idealistic painter Mario Cavaradossi. Michael Volle is Scarpia, the sinister baron and police chief. Bertrand de Billy conducts the emotionally charged score, which includes some of Puccini's best-known arias.
