Richard Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen (The Ring of the Nibelung) is one of the most ambitious, influential, and controversial works of art in human history.  These four monumental music dramas are the ultimate challenge for any opera company to produce and literally span the beginning of creation to the apocalypse.  Götterdämmerung (Twilight of the Gods), the final part of the cycle, draws together the complex story in to a climactic tale of love, betrayal, revenge, honour, and redemption.

In its first step in to the Wagnerian repertoire, Cardiff Opera brings together a fantastic team to present selected scenes from this most epic of of operas.  Sung in German and linked by English narration.
