In March 2019, Philippe Jaroussky announced that in three or four years, he would conduct his first baroque opera. Bet held in May 2021 in Montpellier where he was at the head of his ensemble Artaserse for Scarlatti's oratorio Il primo omicidio . Here he is today conducting his friend the Hungarian soprano Emőke Baráth, in an anthology of Handel's finest soprano arias. It is an understatement if our two performers have an intimate knowledge of the works of Caro Sassone: Jules César , Rinaldo , Xerxès , Partenope for Emőke, Agrippina - his first role landed in 2003 in Tourcoing with Jean-Claude Malgoire - but also Theodora ,Faramondo and all the hits from the repertoire for Philippe. An unforgettable evening where the right tempo will not be difficult to find!
