What the Salzburg child prodigy Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart made of the ancient material at the age of 25 still takes your breath away with enthusiasm. Mozart plumbs the pain of all protagonists to extremes and yet offers a humane way out of the tragedy: King Idomeneo renounces power and the crown, while God in turn renounces power and sacrifice.

For the sought-after Serbian theater director Miloš Lolić, Mozart's confession of the Enlightenment will be the first director of an opera.
