A large and colorful clockwork gear designed to amaze and amuse. 
The Barber of Seville by Fabio Cherstich is an “organized and complete madness” , to use a famous phrase with which Stendhal describes the compositional and theatrical ability of Rossini and his comic operas. At the direction of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Italian Opera Bruno Bartoletti, Leonardo Sini, born in 1990, winner of the “Maestro Solti International Conducting Competition”.

In Reggio Emilia, the opera, born last year in full lockdown and broadcast in streaming in a deserted theater, will be rearranged and will finally make its debut in front of the public. For this surreal and extravagant Emilian lyric production, Cherstich - director and set designer, sensitive to contemporary languages  ​​- draws visual references from Erwin Wurm, Maurizio Cattelan and Carsten Holler, shared with set designer Nicholas Bovey and lighting designer Marco Giusti. The costumes of Arthur Arbesser, an international fashion star lent to the theater, navigate between fairy tale and reality.
