The two concerts of the Athens Philharmonic Orchestra in March 2018 were dedicated to the spirit of the period of Lent and Holy Week. On March 22 and 30, 2018 he presented one of the greatest and most important works of world religious music ever written: the Great Liturgy in C minor by John Sebastian Bach.

This work, certainly the most difficult and demanding of the international choral repertoire, is the majestic contribution of the great German composer to the composition of the text of the Ordinary (Ordinarium) of the Catholic Liturgy. Although Bach was a protester and the standard of the Roman Catholic Church did not concern him, and although most of his religious works (such as the Passion of Matthew and John) correspond to the standard of the Gospel, Bach offered with this work is the most beautiful and complete that has been written in this kind of music.

The two youth choirs successfully faced the great challenge of this work and, in collaboration with the five excellent soloists and musicians of the Philharmonic, offered to the Greek public an artistic enjoyment of a high aesthetic level but also a religious obsession worthy of the days.
