Dirigent Dominic Limburg will jungen Menschen mit einem der bekanntesten Stücke von Benjamin Britten das Orchester näherbringen: „The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra – der Name ist Programm: Es ist das Orchester-Kennenlern-Stück schlechthin. Wenn im Konzert alle Instrumente gleichzeitig spielen, sind sie für ungeübte Ohren oft schwer zu unterscheiden. Hier werden dagegen die einzelnen Orchestergruppen seziert, ihre verschiedenen Klänge ausgelotet. Wie bei einer Wein-Degustation wird auf spezifische Farben und Aromen hingewiesen. Am Schluss kommt das gesamte Orchester in einer komplizierten Fuge zusammen; wer vorher gut zugehört hat, kann die einzelnen Gruppen dort wiederfinden. Für mich gehört es zu den Aufgaben eines jeden Orchesters, auch Formate für Kinder und Jugendliche zu entwickeln. Genau das machen wir mit Brittens Stück: Es ist ein Angebot für junge Menschen, das Orchester zu entdecken.“

Conductor Dominic Limburg wants to bring young people closer to the orchestra with one of Benjamin Britten's best-known pieces: "The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra - the name says it all: It is the ultimate piece for getting to know the orchestra. When all the instruments are playing at the same time in a concert, it is often difficult for untrained ears to distinguish between them. Here, on the other hand, the individual orchestral groups are dissected and their different sounds explored. As with a wine tasting, specific colors and aromas are pointed out. Finally, the full orchestra comes together in an intricate fugue; those who have listened carefully beforehand can find the individual groups there. For me, one of the tasks of every orchestra is to develop formats for children and young people. That's exactly what we're doing with Britten's piece:
