„AMOPERA“ steht für Beziehungen, Kontraste, Ausweglosigkeiten und Ekstasen, mit denen das glühende und doch unwirtliche Gelände der Liebe durchquert wird. Von der letzten Szene aus Lulu von Alban Berg über „Ach ich fühl´s“ von Bernhard Lang bis hin zu „A respirar ritorno“ aus Luci mie traditrici von Salvatore Sciarrino spannt sich der Arbeitsbogen des Klangforum Wien.

 

Inspiriert durch das Buch „Liebesverrat“ von Peter von Matt, der damit eine Literaturgeschichte vom Blickwinkel der Treulosigkeit, des Täuschens und Enttäuschens aus entwirft, entwickelt das Klangforum Wien mit der Meta- Oper eine Zeitreise durch das Neue in Musik und Oper – thematisch jeweils neu gesetzt. Mit der Technik der Montage, der Bearbeitung und Verdichtung verschränken wir einzelne Momente aus unterschiedlichsten Opern und Jahrzehnten ineinander und bringen diese zu einer neuen Wirkungskraft in Form einer 80- bis 90-minütigen META-OPER. Dieses Format lebt vor allem von der Musik, einem sparsamen Lichtkonzept und einer stringenten Erzählung.

 

 

ÜBER DIE NEEDCOMPANY
1986 als internationales Kollektiv von Jan Lauwers und Grace Ellen Barkey in Brüssel gegründet, ließ die Needcompany seither mit bahnbrechenden Bühnenproduktionen weltweit aufhorchen. Maarten Seghers ergänzt seit 2001 als Mitglied die multisdisziplinär in den Bereichen Theater, Tanz, Performance, Kunst, Film und Literatur agierende Gruppe. Die Salzburger Festspiele zeigten 2018 mit L’incoronazione di Poppea Jan Lauwers’ erste Operninszenierung (2021 als Neueinstudierung an der Wiener Staatsoper), gefolgt von der grandiosen Inszenierung von Luigi Nonos „Intolleranza 1960“ in der Felsenreitschule 2021.

"AMOPERA" stands for relationships, contrasts, hopelessness and ecstasies, with which the glowing and yet inhospitable terrain of love is traversed. Klangforum Wien’s work ranges from the last scene from Alban Berg’s Lulu to Bernhard Lang’s “Ach ich fühl´s” and “A respirar ritorno” from Luci mie traditrici by Salvatore Sciarrino.

 

Inspired by the book Liebesverrat by Peter von Matt, who thus sketches a literary history from the perspective of infidelity, deceit and disappointment, Klangforum Wien develops a journey through time through the new in music and opera with the meta-opera - thematically new in each case set. With the technique of montage, editing and compression, we intertwine individual moments from the most diverse operas and decades and bring them to a new level of effectiveness in the form of an 80 to 90 minute META-OPER. This format lives above all from the music, an economical lighting concept and a stringent narrative.

 

 

ABOUT THE NEEDCOMPANY Founded
in Brussels in 1986 as an international collective by Jan Lauwers and Grace Ellen Barkey, the Needcompany has since attracted attention around the world with groundbreaking stage productions. Since 2001, Maarten Seghers has been a member of the multidisciplinary group active in the fields of theatre, dance, performance, art, film and literature. In 2018, the Salzburg Festival presented L'incoronazione di Poppea, Jan Lauwers' first opera production (2021 as a new production at the Vienna State Opera), followed by the grandiose production of Luigi Nono's "Intolleranza 1960" at the Felsenreitschule in 2021.
