Born in Graz, Georg Friedrich Haas is one of the most renowned contemporary composers. With the Gert Jonke Prize winner Händl Klaus, he worked on the Schwetzingen Trilogy , which consists of three operas and culminates in KOMA . Part of the performance takes place in complete darkness. Musicians, singers and viewers find themselves together in an intermediate world in which the senses are realigned and the drama develops a uniquely touching depth. Bas Wiegers is conducting the KSO, Immo Karaman is in charge of the production, Ruth Weber sings the roles of Michaela, Daniel Gloger Alexander and Mutter.
After a dramatic incident, Michaela Windisch is in a state between life and death - she is in a coma. The relatives are also catapulted into an in-between world in which the nagging questions of "why" and "how should things continue" are raised, but cannot be answered and instead break out in recurring allegations and fears. A limbo of trapped souls that also possesses viewers and contributors to the production.
