La Bohème , the second title of the 37th Opera Season,   is one of the most performed operas in history and one of the most appreciated by lovers of opera. With the bohemian Parisian scene of the 19th century as a backdrop, it tells the love story of Rodolfo and Mimí. Premiered on February 1, 1896 at the Teatro Regio in Turin, directed by Arturo Toscanini, it was not very successful in the first performances, but soon became one of the most celebrated titles.
