Everyone knows Cinderella. She is the charming, lovable young girl whose life is not filled with unclouded happiness thanks to her evil step-sisters. But in the end, according to its order and manner, the prince marries her anyway, and they live happily ever after.
Rossini, one of the greatest composers of the early 19th century, who knew exactly what was needed for a comedy opera, created something lasting again soon after The Barber of Seville and Otello. The popularity of Cinderella even rivaled that of The Barber of Seville after the premiere, and later it was played less and less often, mainly because of the extremely difficult arias. In recent decades, however, it has returned to the repertoire of theaters and has deservedly become a favorite of the audience.
The whole family will find their entertainment in our performance. After all, as an adult, you no longer believe in fairies, mouse-drawn pumpkin carriages and miracles in general, enjoying the melodies of Rossini, you can now unselfconsciously experience the magic that the fairy tale offers as a work of art through Ferretti's libretto.

I wrote the story of Cinderella quite a few years ago - as a puppet show, and I read it to my little daughter (who was really little at the time) for the first time when I finished the text. That's why Rossini is not the first thing that comes to mind - of course, the composer's genius creates the piece, but I think more of Ferretti, the guy who shaped Cinderella into a coming-of-age tale, into a real, human story.

Hamupipőkét mindenki ismeri. Ő a bájos, szeretetre méltó fiatal lány, akinek gonosz mostohanővérei jóvoltából nem a felhőtlen boldogság ragyogja be életét. Ám végül, annak rendje és módja szerint, mégis őt veszi feleségül a herceg, majd boldogan élnek, míg meg nem halnak.
Rossini, a 19. század elejének egyik legnagyobb zeneszerzője, aki pontosan tudta, hogy mi kell egy vígoperához, nem sokkal A sevillai borbély és az Otelló után újra maradandót alkotott. A Hamupipőke népszerűsége a bemutatót követően még vetekedett is A sevillai borbélyéval, később aztán egyre kevesebbszer játszották, főként a rendkívüli nehézségű áriák miatt. Az elmúlt évtizedekben azonban újra visszakerült a színházak repertoárjára, és méltán vált ismét a közönség kedvencévé.
Előadásunkban az egész család megtalálja a maga szórakozását. Hisz aki felnőttként már réges-régen nem hisz a tündérekben, az egerek húzta tökhintókban és úgy általában a csodákban, az Rossini dallamaiban gyönyörködve most mégis önfeledten élheti át azt a varázslatot, amit Ferretti librettóján keresztül a mese mint művészeti alkotás kínál.
 
Ajánló:
Jónéhány éve írtam meg a Hamupipőke történetét - bábelőadásnak, és a kicsi lányomnak (aki akkor még tényleg kicsi volt) olvastam fel először, amikor elkészültem a szöveggel. Ezért most sem Rossini jut eszembe elsőként - persze, a zeneszerző zsenije alkotja meg a darabot, mégis inkább gondolok Ferrettire, arra a fickóra, aki felnőttmesévé formálta a Hamupipőkét, igazi, emberi történetté.
