Si l’Opéra de Lille est son port d’attache officiel depuis plusieurs années maintenant, c’est peu dire que le Théâtre des Champs-Elysées est la maison parisienne du Concert d’Astrée fondé en 2001 et de sa cheffe Emmanuelle Haïm. On l’a connue toute jeune et déjà parée de cette chevelure féline lorsqu’elle tenait le continuo des Arts Florissants de William Christie. Depuis qu’elle est maître à bord de son propre ensemble, ils sont immanquablement présents chaque saison et ont offert au public parisien quelques-unes des plus belles pages de musique ancienne et mozartienne. Qu’on en juge, en version de concert ou à la scène : des Haendel de toute beauté (Apollo et Dafne, Didon, Dixit Dominus, Tamerlano, Theodora, Messie, Orlando…), des Monteverdi ciselés comme des pièce précieuses (Combat de Tancrède, Gala Monteverdi qui donnera lieu à une captation pour Arte, Retour d’Ulysse), un somptueux Thésée de Lully, des Mozart au charme assuré (Messe en ut, Noces de Figaro, Mitridate jusqu’au prochain Cosi du printemps 2022) sans oublier la Médée de Cherubini. Vingt ans où elle fut entourée de fidèles interprètes dont la liste est trop longue pour tous les citer. Beaucoup d’entre eux seront présents ce soir pour fêter ce parcours exceptionnel, fait tout autant d’exigence artistique que d’amitié. Mentionnons que cette soirée est donnée au profit de l’institut de recherche pour le cerveau, un domaine qui tient particulièrement à cœur à la cheffe et à son équipe.

If the Lille Opera has been its official home base for several years now, it goes without saying that the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées is the Parisian home of the Concert d'Astrée founded in 2001 and its conductor Emmanuelle Haïm. We knew her very young and already adorned with this feline hair when she held the continuo of Les Arts Florissants by William Christie. Since she became master aboard her own ensemble, they have been present every season and have offered the Parisian public some of the most beautiful pages of early and Mozartian music. Whether we judge, in concert version or on stage: Handels of great beauty ( Apollo and Dafne, Dido, Dixit Dominus, Tamerlano, Theodora, Messiah, Orlando ...), Monteverdi chiseled like precious pieces (Combat de Tancrède, Gala Monteverdi which will result in a recording for Arte, Retour d'Ulysse ), a sumptuous Thésée by Lully, Mozarts with assured charm ( Mass in C, Marriage of Figaro , Mitridate until the next Cosi in spring 2022 ) without forgetting the Medeaby Cherubini. Twenty years where she was surrounded by faithful performers whose list is too long to mention them all. Many of them will be present this evening to celebrate this exceptional journey, made as much of artistic requirement as of friendship. It should be noted that this evening is given for the benefit of the brain research institute, an area that is particularly close to the heart of the chef and her team.
