Οι εμφανίσεις του Λεωνίδα Καβάκου, παγκοσμίως, αποτελούν κορυφαίο καλλιτεχνικό γεγονός. Ο τιμημένος με τις σπουδαιότερες διακρίσεις του κόσμου, βιολιστής και αρχιμουσικός, ολοκληρώνει τη φετινή συνεργασία του με την Κρατική Ορχήστρα Αθηνών με δύο συναυλίες στην Αθήνα και τη Θεσσαλονίκη.
Η βραδιά ξεκινά με το απαιτητικό Κοντσέρτο για βιολί και ορχήστρα σε ρε ελάσσονα, BWV1052 του Γ.Σ. Μπαχ και συνεχίζει με τη μαγευτική Συμφωνία αρ.4 σε μι ύφεση μείζονα, «Ρομαντική», του Άντον Μπρούκνερ.
Για μια ακόμα φορά ο Λεωνίδας Καβάκος συμπράττει με την Κρατική Ορχήστρα Αθηνών αφιλοκερδώς, παραχωρώντας την αμοιβή του υπέρ των μεγάλων αναγκών της Ορχήστρας, με τα έσοδα των συναυλιών να δίνονται για φιλανθρωπικούς σκοπούς και συγκεκριμένα, για την Αθήνα, στη Μονάδα Εντατικής Νοσηλείας Νεογνών & τη Μονάδα Εντατικής Θεραπείας Παίδων του Γενικού Νοσοκομείου Παίδων Αθηνών «Παναγιώτη & Αγλαΐας Κυριακού» και στη Θεσσαλονίκη, στο Σύλλογο Γονέων Παιδιών με Νεοπλασματικές Ασθένεις Β. Ελλάδος, «ΛΑΜΨΗ». Παράλληλα, το Ίδρυμα Σταύρος Νιάρχος υποστηρίζει το πρόγραμμα, «Προσφορά Μουσικής & Μουσική Προσφορά», συνδράμοντας καταλυτικά στην υλοποίηση των συναυλιών σε Αθήνα και Θεσσαλονίκη.

The appearances of Leonidas Kavakos, worldwide, are a leading artistic event. Honored with the world's greatest honors, violinist and chief musician, completes this year's collaboration with the State Orchestra of Athens with two concerts in Athens and Thessaloniki.
The evening begins with the demanding Concerto for violin and orchestra in D minor, BWV1052 by G.S. Bach and continues with the enchanting Symphony No. 4 in E flat major , "Romantic", by Anton Bruckner.
Once again, Leonidas Kavakos cooperates with the State Orchestra of Athens on a non-profit basis, granting his fee in favor of the great needs of the Orchestra, with the proceeds of the concerts being given to charitable purposes, specifically, for Athens, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit & Children's Intensive Care Unit of the General Children's Hospital of Athens "Panagioti & Aglaia Kyriakou" and in Thessaloniki, at the Association of Parents of Children with Neoplastic Diseases of Northern Greece, "LAMPSI". At the same time, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation supports the program, "Music Offer & Music Offer", catalysing the realization of the concerts in Athens and Thessaloniki.
