Il y a tout juste 140 ans, Offenbach donnait naissance aux Brigands sur la scène du Théâtre des Variétés à Paris. Et, une fois de plus, le « Petit Mozart des Champs-Elysées » allait, sous le prétexte d’une intrigue exposant les actes peu louables d’une bande de joyeux voleurs, peindre les travers d’une société en décrépitude. Derniers éclats de rire avant le désastre de Sedan qui sonnait le glas du Second Empire!
